Cindy Swan, NP received her first undergraduate degree in business but always gravitated toward healthcare related settings. After transitioning into the medical arena as a critical care paramedic, she went on to complete her second undergraduate degree from Duke University in nursing. She continued to work as an emergency and acute care nurse in rural Montana while finishing her graduate work with Duke University. She loves working in rural medicine and juggling the many hats she must wear as a provider. She is passionate about ongoing research that will best meet the needs of rural communities. The outdoors is her favorite place. She loves to run, hike, and explore new places with her husband.
